INSTRUCTORAmr Al Dabbagh

His Excellency Amr Al-Dabbagh is a global citizen dedicated to bringing principled leadership to business, public service, family, faith and philanthropy. He serves as Chairman and CEO of Al-Dabbagh Group, a global family business, Founding Chairman of Stars Foundation and the Founder of Philanthropy U. He co-authored his first book, "Governpreneurship" in 2012, exploring successful entrepreneurial practices in government organizations. His second book, "Omnipreneurship: An Organized Approach to Living a Life of Meaning" (Fall 2016) suggests that by combining Principles, Values and Ten Golden Rules we can build a life of impact and meaning. Over the course of a thirty-year career, His Excellency has led the growth of his global business, served in public office for two four-year terms as the Governor (with a rank of Minister) of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and spearheaded philanthropic efforts on a global scale. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the Eisenhower Fellowship, the Cleveland Clinic International Leadership Board and is a Governor of London Business School.

About This Course

Building a better world requires entrepreneurial leadership. What we must understand, however, is that entrepreneurship is not just about personal profit--it is an approach that can propel long term impact for the greater good.
In this course, you will learn about a principled approach to entrepreneurial leadership fueled by Ten Golden Rules for impact and meaning. Through stories and case studies, students will learn to apply the Ten Golden Rules to accelerate organizational success.

Certification

Philanthropy University is a non-degree, diploma or credit granting initiative powered by Berkeley-Haas. Philanthropy U is the concept developer and sponsor of the initiative. Learners are not entitled to earn college or other academic credit. In order to earn a Certificate of Achievement for this course, you need to get a passing score, of 50% or higher, on all quizzes and submit at least ⅔ of all other course assignments.
